DESCRIPTIVE TEXT
Pengertian : a text that describes a particular person, place, or thing. (teks yg mendeskripsikan orang, tempat, atau barang)
Tujuan : to describe something.
Untuk mendeskripsikan sesuatu secara khusus.
Bagian-bagian teks descriptive:
1. Identification à I have a classmate. His name is Bona.
Berisi : mengenalkan orang/benda/tempat yang mau dideskripsikan
2. Description à He is the most handsome boy in my class. He is tall and thin. His hair is short and wavy. He has a pointed nose. His face is oval. He has a tanned skin. I like him because he is kind, helpful, smart, and creative. But sometimes, he is naughty.
Berisi : deskripsi dari orang/benda/tempat tersebut.
Contoh:
My School Library
There is a library in my school. It is on the second floor. It is about seven meters wide and ten meters long. There are eleven bookshelves in the library. They are full of books. My favorite is the shelf next to the door. It is the shelf for displaying the magazines and newspapers. I love reading newspapers, especially about sports.
Students visit the library every break. They love visiting the library because it is quite and cool. It is very comfortable to read in this library.
